Based in the arts community of Woodstock, NY, Howard has had the good fortune to work with such luminaries as Levon Helm, Livingston Taylor, The Drifters, Mick Ronson, Tony Levin, Jerry Marotta, NRBQ, Garth Hudson, John Hall, Steve Ferguson, Benny Mardonis and many others. He has studied at the legendary CREATIVE MUSIC STUDIO and privately with jazz greats, Phil Woods, Bill Evans, Dave Tofani, Steve Grossman, David Gross, Pete Yellin and Jimmy Giuffre.

The focus of Coolschool Video is to provide an alternative resource of study materials for aspiring and professional musicians alike. Topics include music theory, jazz and blues improvisation, common chord progressions, styles of the master players and more. Our catalog of titles is always expanding and we welcome your suggestions for products you would like to see. There is a large library of play-a-long practice tracks covering essential idioms and chord progressions which must be mastered by all successful improvisers. We have unique practice tracks for bass players and drummers. You can also purchase tracks individually and most titles are available as a download as well as hard-copy.
